Growing Conditions : The warm extended growing season of 2007 coupled with the small crop size and deficit irrigation practices resulted in very small concentrated berries in our Côte Rôtie Clone of Syrah in Block 8 of our Red Mountain Estate Vineyard. Harvested in September at 3.2 tons per acre from 14 year old vines.
Production Notes
Fermentation in open tanks and hand punch-downs using a variety of yeast types adds subtle complexities. Twenty six months maturation in French oak barrels concentrates, refines, and polishes the wine.
